The Dexheimers

Peter DEXHEIMER & Anna SPIRO or HAUCK are said to be the parents of Lena DEXHEIMER, b. 21 Feb. 1835, in Hanover or Hamburg, or Darmstadt, Hassen, Germany; d. 1 Nov. 1924, Elverta, Sacramento County, CA; m John Charles HARMS. Lena is said to have came to the US in 1861 & to California in 1867. She is said to have family connections in Detroit, MI & New York, NY. So far we know she had a sister (name and dates unknown) in Detroit Michigan (she died circa 1895?) & a brother Phillip also in Detroit (he had at least five children, four boys & one girl). I have not been able to find any information on DEXHEIMERs in Detroit, other than the pictures posted below. I have found DEXHEIMERs in NY, PA & WI.
Charles E. Nicolaus said that Lena Dexheimer had been married once before. I have found no proof of this.
